Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry. Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come. But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility. This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems. Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy. Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary…

Cloudflare works alongside NVIDIA OpenShell to secure autonomous agents. NVIDIA OpenShell governs what an agent can do on the infrastructure it runs on, and Cloudflare governs what it can reach: the Internet, private applications, MCP servers, and models. Routing OpenShell traffic through Cloudflare's AI Security applies the same enterprise Zero Trust policies to every agent, wherever it runs.

Jensen Huang on AI safety: "We all need to hope it's an engineering problem. If it's not an engineering problem, it's not solvable." very obvious atp that the AI alignment/safety needs more engineering mindset and less throwing doom percentages around.

This is very cool: NVIDIA launched an open source security layer for AI agents, potentially THE security layer. The basic idea: don’t trust the AI to police itself. Agents run in a sandbox that controls what they can access, while a separate system watches what they do and can shut them down if they go rogue. OpenShell is free and open source. The biz model feels a bit like the CUDA playbook: make your software layer a standard, then make NVIDIA hardware the best place to run it. They already have a ton of companies supporting the broader effort, including Anthropic, Microsoft, Mistral, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike and Salesforce. But- OpenAI, Meta, Apple and several other huge AI players aren’t on the announcement’s big partner list. Surprised OpenAI isn't on there, I bet they will play ball…

The OpenAI-Hugging Face hack was enabled by weak sandboxing. It is great that Nvidia is releasing open source tools for sandboxing AI agents. OpenWorker, our open-source agent harness supporting cybersecurity workflows, is proud to support this. A sandbox gives an agent limited permissions. OpenWorker is building on Nvidia OpenShell and will support running each agent's commands inside a sandbox. Only the files relevant to the task go in. Secret API keys, your web browser login credentials, the ability to access arbitrary websites, are inaccessible to the agent by default. These restrictions are implemented in deterministic code rather than by prompting an LLM, which can make mistakes or be susceptible to prompt injections. Further, all actions are logged for monitoring and audit. I'm…
