We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

The announcement we've been waiting for... Anthropic is about to drop their personal agent Duet (love the name) A direct competitor to Dots, Grok Bot, Hark, and Muse All powered by what I believe to be the best model on earth right now Opus 5.5 This is the one I'm anticipating the most. Claude more than any other AI has felt the BEST to talk to It feels truly human and collaborative This has been what's dearly missing from this new class of agent harnesses. None of them feel truly HUMAN I have no doubt this will be the warmest, most fun personal agent to use I truly believe this personal agent harness race is the most important race of them all. More important than the model race People are giving their personal agents access to EVERYTHING Their emails, calendars, text messages,…

Claude Duet, Anthropic’s 24/7 personal agent, is finally here. I had early access and here’s my new video with my honest take on: → Why I think it's the most proactive agent → Why Artifacts could be its secret sauce → How it stacks up to Grok Bot, Muse, and Dots Duet is in research preview and I’m sure will improve a lot over time. 📌 Watch now:

BREAKING: @AnthropicAI just launched Duet, its always-on personal agent. It’s the first personal agent I’d call a pro tool. We’ve been testing it for two weeks. I’ve gone from mostly using ChatGPT to roughly 50/50 between ChatGPT and Claude—the most time I’ve spent with Anthropic in close to a year. • It lives in its own app, separate from Claude, on iOS, Android, and the web. This makes it feel clean and easy to understand. • It has channels for specific areas of your work and life rather than just a single chat • It has a todo list so you never lose what you’re working on and you can always see statuses • It allows you to easily write and edit documents, slides, and more all through the app. • It’s not a chief of staff yet. It can see the Claude sessions on my computers but can’t…

I’ve been wondering why Anthropic is sleeping on personal agents. they weren’t. and just to make matters worse for the competitors (Muse, Dots, Grok Bot) Claude Duet is powered by Opus 5.5, the smartest model out there. yeah, it’s gonna get crazy.

Chatbots wait for you to ask. Claude Duet doesn't. It briefs you every morning, pings you only when something actually needs you, and keeps grinding after you close the laptop. Your duet partner just dropped 🎶

Claude Duet has made focused work so much easier! Not having to be "on" all the time is so nice, way less context switching My setup is boring lol but I have it watch Slack/email/cal and only ping me when it matters (even threads I'm not in), often with a doc/design for context!

🤖 ANOTHER ONE: @claudeai Duet launches in research preview + I add another personal agent to the stack. I tested it...then forgot it. Will this absolutely beautiful agent earn its place in my AI stack? My take now live on YT:

Anthropic just destroyed all proactive agent startups. That's what you'll see on your timeline. That couldn't be further from the truth. Personal agents, unlike other agent types, will exist in different flavors and personalities. It's nice that Claude Duet runs on Opus 5.5. Unlike other agent types, people will really think carefully about which personal agent to pick. Here, people think more carefully about trust, personality, intent understanding, continual learning, etc. The best personal agent is the one you can trust, not just the fastest one that gets the work done effectively. But I think people will use multiple personal agents for different types of tasks/work. I think we are about to see an explosion of vertical personal agents. Which one do I use? I am still testing a bunch…
